Valorant: Shopify Rebellion wins the 2023 VCT Game Changers championship; Takes down Team Liquid 3-2

Following a thrilling weekend in São Paulo, Brazil, the 2023 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Game Changers Championship saw one team take home the title.

Shopify Rebellion from North America emerged victorious in the 2023 VCT Game Changers, defeating Team Liquid Brazil 3-2 in a closely contested five-game series on Monday, December 4.

The two teams entered the competition on distinct trajectories.

Shopify Rebellion had an impressive performance in the upper bracket, winning the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals 2-0 over EDward Gaming with perfect precision. In the Upper Bracket Semifinals, they swept BBL Queens again, this time by a score of 2-0.

Shopify Rebellion defeated G2 Gozen 2-1 in a revenge match from the 2022 Game Changers Championship Grand Finals.

In contrast, G2 Gozen defeated Team Liquid 2-0 in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, causing them to suffer a loss. Relentlessly, Team Liquid Brazil set out on a tenacious quest through the lower division.

In the Lower Bracket Round 1, Team Liquid easily defeated Evil Geniuses to begin their lower bracket campaign, winning 2-0. They maintained their winning streak in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, defeating BBL Queens by a resounding 2-0 score.

In the Lower Bracket Semifinal, between Team Liquid and the Southeast Asian squad SMG, the competition heated up. In the end, Team Liquid prevailed 2-1 despite dropping one game.

Team Liquid advanced to the Lower Bracket Finals and faced G2 Gozen once more. In an unexpected turn of events, Team Liquid pulled off an upset, winning 2-0 and qualifying for the Grand Final.
