Bollywood actress Sunny Leone, celebrated for her thriving career in both acting and entrepreneurship, has recently ventured into the culinary domain by inaugurating her first restaurant, Chica Loca, in Noida. Leone is teaming up with her husband Daniel Weber and Singing Bowls Hospitality, led by Sahil Baweja to add another feather to her entrepreneurial cap.
The restaurant, a two-floored space in Noida, serves as a glimpse into Sunny Leone’s glamorous life and features a diverse multi-cuisine menu. The 42-year old clarified that the menu – a modern interpretation of Indian, Asian, European, and Italian cuisine – draw inspiration from her culinary journey from personal experiences and cherished moments. Chica Loca will have assigned Chef Arpit to prepare the delicacies by bringing in his expertise from his experience in Bahrain.
I wasn’t interested in Mumbai: Sunny
In an interview with IANS, Sunny Leone expressed her belief that entertainers should not limit themselves to the realms of films and television shows. She stressed the importance of exploring new avenues to expand their brand value and reach wider audiences.
“Opening a restaurant was a long time due,” Sunny revealed and further mentioned that they plan on extending the ChicaLoca brand with upcoming outlets in Hyderabad, Goa, and Punjab.
“I wasn’t interested in Mumbai because everyone else was, and I didn’t want a restaurant for the sake of it,” Sunny’s strategic decision certainly brings a unique and fresh perspective to the culinary scene.
Sunny Leone’s Entrepreneurial Journey
