Journalist Ali Al-Harbi (via @TheNassrZone) reports that Cristiano Ronaldo has requested a contract extension from Al-Nassr, and the Riyadh-based organization is expected to make an official announcement shortly.

After joining Al-Nassr in January, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has thrived in the Middle East and emerged as the face of the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo inked a lucrative two-and-a-half-year contract worth an estimated £177 million annually.

Under a revitalized Al-Nassr team, the 38-year-old has looked even more impressive thus far this season. With 50 goals, he is tied with Erling Haaland as the top scorer of 2023. He has made 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and dishing out 10 assists. Many European superstars were drawn to his accomplishments and presence in Saudi football, which resulted in the summer arrival of players such as Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, and Neymar in the league.

The current deal for Cristiano Ronaldo expires in the summer of 2025. He does, however, apparently intend to keep his two-year contract with the Knights of Najd extended. It is anticipated that the new contract will begin in 2025 and run through 2027.

By the time his new contract expires, the Portugal star will be 41, but it will also enable him to play for his country in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It is said that Al-Nassr will soon make an official announcement.
