According to the Daily Mirror, Sancho is training “like a beast” by himself after Ten Hag banished him following an argument about his performance in the training. In response, Sancho said that Ten Hag was making a “scapegoat” out of him because the winger was not playing up to par. Since then, Ten Hag has emphasized that Sancho needs to apologize in order to be accepted back into society, but he hasn’t done so yet.
Despite the fact that the Dutchman seems to have made his position clear, the report claims that a number of United players are advocating for their teammate to be brought back into the starting lineup in light of Marcus Rashford and Antony’s subpar play. United’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League are in shambles after their defeat to Newcastle on the weekend and their 3-3 draw with Galatasaray last week.
Sancho last kicked the ball for United in August during a 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest, where he played 30 minutes. Since then, he has not been named in a matchday squad, and he has been connected to a possible January transfer to Juventus.
Though it’s unclear if he will outlast Ten Hag at United, the winger appears to have a good chance of doing so. According to reports, the manager is reportedly fighting for the club’s core players’ support again; these players may be the same ones advocating for Sancho’s reintegration.
